WG3 accepts N640 as the Meeting Notes from Amsterdam and instructs the Editors to respond to National Body comments in N613. The Editors are further instructed to incorporate the decisions taken at the Amsterdam meeting into a new draft and circulate it to the Working Group before July 1 2005 with a view to getting feedback from the Montreal meeting before submitting the document for FDIS ballot.
WG3 accepts N641 as the Meeting Notes from Amsterdam and instructs the Editors to respond to National Body comments in N614. The Editors are further instructed to incorporate the decisions taken at the Amsterdam meeting into a new draft and circulate it to the Working Group before July 1 2005 with a view to getting feedback from the Montreal meeting before submitting the document for FDIS ballot.
WG3 accepts the resignation of Kal Ahmed and appoints Eric Freese and Prof. Jaeho Lee as Editors. WG3 calls for additional implementations of CXTM before the Montreal meeting in order to thoroughly test the specification.

The Editors are further instructed to incorporate the decisions taken at the Amsterdam meeting into a new draft and circulate it to the Working Group, preferably before July 28 2005 with a view to getting feedback from the Montreal meeting before submitting the document for a new CD ballot.
WG3 expresses its support for the work of the W3C's Semantic Web Best Practices and Deployment Working Group on RDF/Topic Maps interoperability. Members of the Topic Maps community are encouraged to provide feedback on the Survey of RDF/Topic Maps Interoperability Proposals (N607) and to participate actively in the development of the Guidelines for RDF/Topic Maps Interoperability.
WG3 thanks Anne Cregan for her work on representing Topic Maps in OWL/DL. WG members are requested to provide detailed feedback to her in order to ensure the accuracy of her representation and encourages the author to assist the work of the RDFTM Task Force of the SWBPD.
WG3 notes the existence of two text-based notations for representing topic maps, AsTMa= and the Linear Topic Map Notation (LTM) and recognizes the need for a standard notation of this type. Such a notation would complement the XML interchange syntax in order to provide a simple, compact notation for:
WG3 thanks the Korean National Body for offering to submit a New Work Item Proposal (NP) in this area and requests that it works with the Convenor of WG3 to achieve this as soon as possible. The new standard should be Part 6 of ISO 13250. WG3 requests Gabriel Hopmans and Prof. Sam Oh to perform initial work on CTM between now and the Montreal meeting.
In addition, WG3 encourages the Topic Maps community to put forward proposals for a standard graphical notation for topic maps with a view to providing input to a possible Part 7 of ISO 13250.
The next WG3 meeting will be held on July 28-31 in Montreal, Canada, in conjunction with IDEAlliance's Extreme Markup 2005 conference. Further meetings are provisionally planned for Atlanta, GA in November 2005 and Seoul in April/May 2006.
In recognition of the contributions made to SC34's work by Japan and
Korea over many years, WG3 recommends that the SC34 2006 Q2 Plenary
be held in Seoul.
