Standards Engineering Society (SES) Annual Conference

The 2008 Standards Engineering Society (SES) Annual Conference will be held August 18-19 at the Marriott Mission Valley in Dan Diego, California. This year’s conference theme, "The World of Standards: Is it Really a Zoo Out There?" will explore a diversity of issues within the standards community such as Global Standards Development, Business Ramifications of Standards, and Using Standardization to Address Social Issues. As part of the conference session on Survival of the Fittest that is being held on Tuesday, August 19th at 10:30 a.m., SCC Chairman, Hugh Krentz will discuss the economic value and impact of standardization on Canadian industry and describe how a specific standard affected the construction sector in Canada.
