ISO releases draft version of joint ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 audit standard

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has released a draft version of ISO 19011, Guideline for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing, a new auditing standard for use with both ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 management systems. The new standard is intended to make it easier for organizations to implement and register both quality and environmental management systems. Publication of the final version of ISO 19011 is expected in 2002. Canadians interested in buying a copy of the draft can do so through the Standards Council of Canada's sales partner, IHS Canada.
