Canada will participate in ballot resolution meeting on ISO/IEC DIS 29500 standard

Canada will join national delegations from 36 other countries in a ballot resolution meeting on the draft international standard Information technology – Office Open XML file formats (ISO/IEC DIS 29500), from Feb. 25 to 29 in Geneva, Switzerland. The proposed standard applies to word-processing documents, presentations and spreadsheets and is intended to be implemented by multiple applications on multiple platforms. The objective of the meeting is to review and seek consensus on possible modifications to the document.
