Standards Council now a full member of IAAC

The Standards Council of Canada has been accepted as a full member of the Interamerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC). The admission took place at IAAC's recent plenary meeting in Lima, Peru. Other highlights of the meeting included the election of a new chair and vice-chair, and progress toward the development and implementation of a multilateral recognition agreement for ISO 9000 accreditation bodies.
IAAC promotes cooperation among accreditation bodies from North, Central and South America. The organization has 19 full members and 7 associate members.
