The proper monitoring and analysis of environmental risks can be a matter of life or death. Less than four years ago, the drinking water tragedy in Walkerton, Ontario claimed seven lives and made several others ill. This tragedy and others, such as the debacle in North Battleford, Saskatchewan have precipitated major changes in the environmental laboratory and testing industry.
