Inspector gives Ontario drinking water top marks

Chief drinking-water inspector, Jim Smith, has declared Ontario's drinking water among the safest in the world.  Since it was first introduced in December 2002, mandatory accreditation for water-testing laboratories has contributed to the safety of Ontario's drinking water by ensuring that the infrastructure to support healthy water resources is maintained.
