![]() In Memoriam: Hockey Standards Pioneer Dr. Tom Pashby2005-09-01The Standards Council of Canada extends its condolences to the family of Dr. Tom Pashby, who passed away on August 24, 2005 at the age of 90. Dr. Pashby will be remembered by Canadians for his extraordinary contributions to improving the safety of ice hockey and other sports. He led the Canadian Standards Association committee that developed standards for hockey helmets and face protectors. In 1988, Dr. Pashby was awarded with the SCC's Jean P. Carriere Award.
