Workshop leads to ISO 9000 guidelines for health care sector

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published its first international workshop agreement (IWA) on guidelines for implementing ISO 9000 quality management systems in the health care sector. The agreement was developed at an ISO workshop held in Detroit in January 2001 which was hosted by the Standards Council and the Canadian Standards Association.
