New ISO President

Oliver R. Smoot of the USA has been elected ISO President for a two-year term. A trained economist and Juris Doctor, Mr. Smoot has held leadership positions in the fields of international law and information technology and has been actively involved in standardization over a period of 25 years at national, regional and international levels.
