National Standard of Canada referenced in a new regulation establishing minimum energy efficiency levels for dry-type transformers

Natural Resources Canada announces that on January 1, 2005, a new regulation will come into effect that requires all dry-type transformers to meet the National Standard of Canada CAN/CSA-C802.2-00, Minimum Efficiency Values for Dry-Type Transformers. To verify this, products should bear a certification mark from a certification body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and be recognized by Natural Resources Canada or a verification label issued by a province.
