Free ISO 9000:2000 guide for small and medium sized businesses

2001-04-04

There's help in store for small and medium sized businesses looking for guidance on implementing the new ISO 9000:2000 series of quality management standards - and it's free. Three British organizations have just published Quality Systems in the Small or Medium Sized Enterprise (SME): A Guide to the Adoption of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

The guidebook is intended as an introduction to the new standards for both newcomers and users of the previous versions. It's designed to help them make informed decisions on whether and how to implement an ISO 9000:2000 compliant quality system.

The guidebook is available for free on the Web sites of the Association of British Certification Bodies (ABCB), the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA) and the Federation of Small Businesses.
