![]() Standards Council exports Export Alert!2001-10-19The Standards Council of Canada's Export Alert!, an information service for Canadians selling their goods abroad, has itself become an export. Two U.S. agencies, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the International Trade Administration, have launched a U.S. version of the service. Like its Canadian counterpart, the U.S. Export Alert! provides e-mail notification of proposed regulatory changes issued by members of the World Trade Organization. While the U.S. service will appear all-American to its users, the Standards Council is providing the hardware and software that make it possible. The Standards Council plans to market the service to other countries that might be interested in using it. | ![]() To receive SCC news and press releases, contact [email protected].
