Standards vital to ensuring interoperability of household products

International Standards that enable interoperability and security are seen as key to ensuing household connectivity as more and more electronic devices and networks within the home use digital information and media. This was the key conclusion of aWorld Standards Cooperation* (WSC) workshop that brought together some 100 experts from industry, the academic community and standards developing organizations, in Geneva, Switzerland, on 2 and 3 February 2006.
