UL warning about hazardous Philips coffeemakers

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is warning consumers that certain models of Philips brand drip style coffeemakers may pose a fire hazard.  UL's sample testing found that the coffeemakers do not meet fire-safety requirements.  UL is one of a number of certification organizations accredited by the Standards Council to verify the ongoing conformity of products to standards.
