The Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT) held its general assembly on Margarita Island, Venezuela, May 9-11, 2001. As part of the meeting, the Standards Council was the key presenter at a special one-day workshop on "Quality as an investment, business and strategy for global competitiveness".
