In the March/April 2008 issue of ISO Management Systems entitled Oil and Gas ISO/TS 29001, Canadian Lynn Johannson contributes an article on "The confluence of small business, succession and sustainability." Johannson is an expert representing the interests of small and medium sized enterprises in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)'s technical committee for environmental management (ISO/TC 207), for which the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) holds the Secretariat. The magazine also contains a report about the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bali in December 2007, where ISO Deputy Secretary-General Kevin McKinley of Canada discussed ISO’s contribution to voluntary approaches through standardization.
