CSA Unveils Comprehensive Canada-Wide Standard on Blood and Blood Components

Canadian Standards Association (CSA) has published the first comprehensive standard to encompass Canada's blood system from donor selection, collection to transfusion. As a management systems standard, CSA-Z902-04, Blood and Blood Components is designed to help health care professionals and facilities maintain and enhance the quality and safety of Canada's blood system, including blood collection, processing and transfusion.
