Merger of Chinese Accreditation Bodies

In accordance with the decision of Chinese Government, former China National Accreditation Council for Registrars (CNACR), former China National Accreditation Council for Product Certification Bodies (CNACP), former China National Accreditation Board for Import & Export Enterprises (CNAB) and former China Accreditation Committee for Environmental Management System certification bodies(CACEB) have been merged into China National Accreditation Board For Certifiers (CNAB).

CNAB has applied as a new entity to join the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) Multi-lateral Agreements (MLAs) for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). This application will supersede the previous membership of CNACR and CNAB, and also the application from CACEB.

The International Accreditation Forum, Inc. (IAF) is the world association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies and others interested in conformity assessment in the fields of management systems, products, services, personnel and other similar programs of conformity assessment. The Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) is an association of accreditation bodies and other interested parties whose objective is to facilitate trade and commerce among economies in the Asia Pacific region. For additional information on PAC, visit www.apec-pac.org.
