The SCC's accreditation program for Auditor Certification Organizations verifies competencies and formally certifies Auditors to conduct QMS and/or EMS Audits. The certification of an auditor provides assurance that the individual is capable of delivering services in the fields of QMS and EMS. The Standards Council of Canada is a Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective voluntary standardization, and is Canada's representative in international standardization fora , including the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
