Call For Nominations: SCC Awards

OTTAWA - To recognize the outstanding individual and organizational contributions made to voluntary standardization and conformity assessment, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is now accepting nominees in the following categories:

  • Corporate Commitment Award
  • SCC Award of Excellence
  • SCC Dedicated Service Award  
  • SCC Leadership Award
  • SCC Distinguished Service Award
  • SCC Special Achievement Award
  • The Jean P. Carrière Award
  • The Roy A. Phillips Award 

Information detailing each of these awards, the nomination process, eligibility criteria and past recipients, is available on the SCC website at: http://www.scc.ca/en/get_involved/awards.

Nominations are due by February 16, 2004.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in Calgary, Alberta, as part of the 2nd National Standards System Conference (NSS).

The Standards Council of Canada, a Crown corporation that promotes efficient and effective voluntary standardization in Canada, oversees the National Standards System (NSS) in which some 15,000 individuals participate in standards-development and advisory committees. These participants, and the organizations that support their work, are of vital importance to the NSS.
