![]() FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2005-10-14 Call for Nominations: 2006 SCC AwardsOTTAWA - The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting nominations for its 2006 Awards. The SCC seeks to recognize individuals, committees and/or organizations who have demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment through their invaluable contributions to standards-related activities. Submissions are currently being considered in the following categories:
Information detailing each of these awards, the nomination process, eligibility criteria and past recipients, is available on the SCC website at: Nominations are due by February 17, 2006. The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in Ottawa, Ontario. The Standards Council of Canada, a Crown corporation that promotes efficient and effective voluntary standardization in Canada, oversees the National Standards System (NSS) in which some 15,000 individuals take part.
