Stephen J. Mallory Appointed to the SCC's Governing Council

The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), today appointed Mr. Stephen J. Mallory as a member of the Council.

"I am very pleased to welcome Mr. Stephen J. Mallory to the SCC, and we look forward to his contribution to the Board," said Minister Prentice. "There is no doubt that his insights and experience will be very valuable in helping to guide the SCC in the years ahead."

Mr. Mallory has over twenty-seven years of sales, management and service leadership experience within the insurance industry. In 2007, he founded Directors Global Insurance Brokers Ltd., which focuses on providing risk management services to corporate clients. He currently serves as President. Prior to this, Mr. Mallory was President and CEO at HUB International Ontario Limited.

Mr. Mallory is a Fellow with the Chartered Insurance Professional, holds a Canadian Risk Management Diploma, and a BA (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario.
