![]() FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2009-10-15 Steven Reynolds reappointed to the Standards Council of CanadaOTTAWA, October 15, 2009 — The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), today announced the reappointment of Mr. Steven Reynolds to the SCC. “Mr. Reynolds’ vast knowledge and experience has been invaluable to the SCC,” said Minister Clement. “His contribution to the Board will continue to help guide the SCC in the coming years.” Mr. Reynolds was first appointed to the SCC in 2006. He is Research and Development Manager with The Peelle Company Ltd., a manufacturer and installer of elevator components. Mr. Reynolds holds a professional engineer accreditation from Professional Engineers Ontario. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers — Codes and Standards, the Canadian Standards Association and the National Fire Prevention Association. The Standards Council of Canada is a Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization in Canada.
