The document ISO/IEC 15445:2000(E) First edition 2000-00-00 SC34 WG03 71.00.00.00 in chapter 5 - Symbols and abbreviated terms are used as international standard. The comments are on the HTML First edition 2000-00-00, which are being sent for the discussion of the JTC1/SC34 WG3 N64. 1. In 5.12 WML (Wireless Markup Language)

WML (Wireless Markup Language)--WML(Wireless Markup Language) is the markup language in the WAP Forum(about 100 corporations participate) which is developed on the purpose of displaying and inputting the information on the mobile terminal like wireless telephone, pager and PDA. WML is based on XML

 

 

 

2. In 5.13 XML (eXtensible Markup Language)

XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is the internet standard for overcoming the functional limit of SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language) and HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) was proposed in 1996. W3C (W3C:World Wide Web Consortium) announced XML version 1.0 in February 1998.

 

2 items mentioned above are widely used for the development of the application for wireless terminal. Therefor the WML and XML is recommended.
