1. RELAX submitted by Fast-Track Procedure

In 12 Oct. 2000, JISC (Japanese Industrial Standards Committee) submitted the RELAX (English version of JIS/TR X 0029:2000) to ISO as a fast track procedure document for DTR processing, with the recommendation that it come to SC34.

In 7 Nov. 2000, ISO circulated it to JTC1 P-members with the notification:

Regarding the document type, Mr. M. Mita (JTC1/Japan) contacted with ISO Central Secretariat and clarified that ISO deal with the text as Type 3 DTR.

2. DSSSL Library

The JISC approved a DSSSL Library as JIS/TR X 0010:2000 in its June meeting. It was published in Oct. 2000. The DSSSL Library supports some typical style specifications required for a number of document types.

The editors of the library are now translating JIS/TR X 0010 into English and plan to submit it to ISO using fast-track procedure.
