Resolution 1: Endorsement of the Recommendations of WG1

SC34 accepts Recommendations 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 of WG1, as found in SC34 N312.

Resolution 2: Revision of ISO/IEC TR 9573-11

SC34 accepts 305 as the proposed text of ISO/IEC TR 9573-11, Second Edition , and instructs the editor to forward it to the SC34 Secretariat for DTR ballot and processing.

Resolution 3: ISO/IEC 19757-2 DIS

SC34 accepts N320 as the DIS text of ISO/IEC 19757-2, Grammar-based validation – RELAX-NG, and forwards it to the SC34 Secretariat for processing.

Resolution 4: Normative references to non-ISO standards

SC34 recognizes that OASIS Standards, W3C Recommendations and IETF Standards Track Specifications have authoritative status and wide acceptance and are publicly available. Therefore, they may be cited normatively in SC34 Standards, in accordance with 6.2.2 of the ISO Directives Part 2 (4th ed.).

Resolution 5: Endorsement of the Recommendations ofWG2

SC34 endorses SC34 N313, the Recommendations of WG2 and the WG2 Program of Work SC34 N317 (WG2 N97), approved at the May 2002 Working Group meeting in Barcelona.

Resolution 6: Amendment 1 to DSSSL

SC34 accepts SC34 N316 (WG2 N94) as an FDAM1 text to ISO/IEC 10179 DSSSL including the disposition of comments (SC34 N281) on the PDAM1, and instructs the editor to forward the text to the SC34 Secretariat for processing.

Resolution 7: Corrigendum 2 to ISO/IEC 10036

SC34 accepts SC34 N309 (WG2 N93) as a proposed Technical Corrigendum 2 to ISO/IEC 10036:1996 (Procedures for registration of font-related identifiers) and instructs the Defect Editor to forward the text to the SC34 Secretariat for processing.

Resolution 8: Endorsement of the Recommendations ofWG3

SC34 endorses SC34 N314, the Recommendations of WG3 and SC34 N321, the report of the WG3 meeting.

Resolution 9: Approval of Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments

JTC 1/SC 34 approves the Program of Work, Target Dates and Project Editor Assignments contained in SC 34 N294, as revised.

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Coolheads Consulting for providing a projector for the WG3 meeting.

Resolution C: Appreciation to SC 34 Chairman

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Dr. James Mason, the SC 34 Chairman, for the leadership and support he provided at the SC 34 meeting.

Resolution D: Appreciation to SC 34 Secretariat

JTC1/SC 34 thanks Mr. Matthew Deane, sitting in for the SC 34 Secretariat, for the support he provided at the SC 34 meeting and in preparation for the meeting.
