Report of SC34/WG2
1. ISO/IEC 10179, DSSSL (Document Style Semantics and Specification Language)
1.1 Publishing Amd.1 to DSSSL
FDAmd1 was approved in July 2003 and Amd.1 to ISO/IEC 10179 was published in Oct. 2003.
1.2 PDAM2 to DSSSL
The project editor of Amd.2 to DSSSL is drafting PDAM text. He will submit the PDAM2 by the closing plenary for requesting PDAM processing.
2. ISO/IEC TR 19758, DSSSL Library
2.1 User requirements for Amendments to DSSSL Library
A project editor of Amendments to DSSSL Library had an opportunity to participate the DocSII (Asian Document Style Standardization for Information Interchange) meeting held in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolian, where a number of comments on the existing DSSSL Library ISO/IEC TR 19758 were provided from Asian countries; China, Korea, Singapore, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mongolia. Those countries except China and Korea are not members of SC34.
Those comments are posted on the WG2 Web page as WG2 documents, the numbers of which are SC34/WG2 N136 though N147.
2.2 Amendment texts
According to the recommendation of the last WG2 meeting, project editors drafted a PDAM text that includes extensions to Basic Composition Styles and Tables. It will be PDAM1 to TR 19758, DSSSL Library.
The inclusion of Asian countries comments is dealt with in a separate amendment text. It will be PDAM2 text, Extensions to Multilingual Compositions.
PDAM1 and PDAM2 will be submitted by the closing plenary for requesting PDAM processing.
