2005.11.09 Japan comments Motomu Naito <!-- *********************************************************** --> <!-- Comment on ISO/IEC 13250 Topic Maps - Part2: Data Model --> <!-- *********************************************************** --> << General comments >> << technical comments >> 1. Clause 4.3 The fundamental types, 1st paragraph "The values of information item properties may be either other information items, ... " should be "The values of information item properties may be either the item identifiers of other information items, ... ". After this, in the sentence of property representation, "information items" should be "item identifiers of information items". For example, Clause 5.2, [topics] property, "A set of topic items." should be "A set of the item identifiers of topic items." 2. Clause 4.3 The fundamental types, Set, 1st paragraph, 2nd sentence " ... information items or strings." should be " ... the item identifiers of information items or strings.". 3. Clause 5.3.4 Reification, 2nd paragraph, last sentence What is "structured from"? 4. Clause 5.4 Topic name items, [type] property Why the Topic name items have [type] property, instead of the Topic items? 5. Clause 5.5 Variant items, [value] property How contents of the parameters elements and other variant element is included in a string of [value] property? In other words, how to handle the parameters elements and other variant elements in XML topic maps? 6. Clause 6.2 Merging topic items Why do C's [parent], [reified] and [roles played] properties need not set from A's or/and B's? << Editorial comments >> 1. Clause 5.3.2 Identifying subjects, NOTE "This part of ISO/IEC13250 does not require implementations to derference ... " should be "This part of ISO/IEC13250 does not require implementations to dereference ... ". 2. Clause Bibliography The Version of UML should be 2.0.
