During this reporting period (from 8 December 2007 through 30 March 2008), the Registration Authority for ISO/IEC 10036 had three steering commitee meetings on 25 December, 5 February and 11 March. The meetings were held jointly with natioinal body meetings of the SC 34/WG 2. In each of the meetings, maintenance issues were reported on and discussed.
Currently, the glyph database is out of service due to server overload that takes place from time to time. The overload is seemingly caused by massive automatic queries by agents like web crawlers. The current interface is prone to this kind of exploitation and needs a technical improvement. The Registration Authority will put the glyph database back when this technical problem is resolved.
