Asset Publisher Administrative Assistant, Finance and Corporate ManagementPosting date: 2012-01-10 The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is a federal Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization in Canada. Located in Ottawa, SCC has a Governing Council comprised of up to 15 members and a staff of approximately 85. The organization reports to Parliament through the Minister of Industry and oversees Canada's national standardization network. SCC carries out a variety of functions intended to ensure the effective and coordinated operation of standardization in Canada. It also represents Canada's interests on standards-related matters in foreign and international forums. Summary of dutiesThe Administrative Assistant supports and delivers a full range of administrative services that enable the Finance & Corporate Management Branch to function effectively and efficiently. This position provides direct administrative support to the V-P, Finance and plays a pivotal role in supporting the entire Branch administratively by providing enhanced customer service to employees, stakeholders and clients.
