The Award of Excellence recognizes notable contributions made by a committee member.

Candidates for the SCC Award of Excellence must be able to demonstrate:

Participation, leadership or technical assistance in the development, promotion or implementation of policies, standards or guides (through certification or accreditation programs) that have contributed significantly to Canadian standardization efforts for a period of at least three (3) years;
Initiative in managing or developing the process or solutions in the development of a standard;
Contribution towards the advancement of advisory committees, technical committees, sub-committees, working groups, task groups, or ad-hoc groups within Canada’s national standardization network.
