Web Content Display Jean P. Carrière AwardThe Jean P. Carrière Award recognizes distinguished service by an individual to Canadian standardization. Mr. Carrière served as President of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) from October 1971 to December 1977, during which time the essential plans for a national standardization network were conceived and formulated. The Jean P. Carrière Award was established in his honour, and has been conferred by the SCC since 1979. Eligibility CriteriaCandidates for the Jean P. Carrière Award must be able to demonstrate participation, leadership or technical assistance in the development, promotion or implementation of policies, standards or guides (through certification or accreditation programs) that have contributed significantly to Canadian standardization efforts for a period of at least ten (10) years.
